A Wake In Providence - I Write To You, My Darling Decay

When the Agonofinis single dropped in late June, I was immediately excited for a new release from deathcore quartet, A Wake In Providence.

Usually the drop of a single is indicative that a new release is in the works, but I wasn't expecting it to drop a month later, and it very much nearly flew under my radar as I didn't realise it had released until a week later.

The opening lyrics to Agonofinis in Adam Mercer's powerfully distinctive growl starts the track off strong, mixed in with what I can only describe as Melodic Horrorchestra (Horror orchestra).

But when the full album released on July 26th, we got the full experience as it was intended, with a full orchestral arrangement intro track before Agonofinis kicks in. Agony, My Familiar and Agonofinis, are like steak and whiskey - enjoyable on their own, but delicious when paired together.

I also do enjoy The Unbound and the titular track, I Write To You, My Darling Decay, but overall the it's deliciously brutal from start to finish.
